3D 2 Model Kid Assessment

Now on to our Final 3D assessment.

We were given the task of modeling uv'ing and texture a kid to make him the same as the sample images given.
He had to be below 8000s tris so he was still a low poly model.

I began from the feet and started to work upwards slowly extruding and moving the vertices to match the images.

Once i created the basic shape for so body i move on to creating his head, which is where the problems began for me i really struggled to get his head to be looking more organic rather than some block.

However it got to a reasonable standard in the end but do wish i had done a better job, after i had finished the model it was on to cutting the uvs for texturing, this went okay and i got some good uvs out but i couple messed up like his right foot cause  of hidden vertices and his eyes for the face for some reason when paint the eyes on to the uvs in Photoshop the came out really weird and im not sure why.

Even tho i know this model could be a lot better i am still pleased with it cause i have matched all the assessment marks just not to the best standard. I have been struggling with the latest projects for our 3d cause its all gone a bit quick for me but i am going to try and make some more models of organic creatures to practice the whole process over the summer.
