Our new project for this term is to create our very own dinosaur!
We started the project with just a simple polygon square has a mirror copy if it.

We finished the body model in the first model then we needed to make the legs and arms at home, this was harder than i thought it was going to be. When you extrude the legs and arms then become very square and it took me awhile to make everything rounded and stop looking a like a mine craft model.
This was the last part of our dino modelling adventure, we mapped out and created the uvs on him so we could choose to paint him a texture on photo shop or bring him in to mud box.

Since we had just had a lesson on mud box i deiced to try and give that a go and i was pleased with the way it came out.I started with just a adding a simple green colour to our dino, then slowly adding darker shades then final add a scaly texture of the top to give a realistic feel to him.

I am really happy with the final result, i looks great and it feels so good to make a model from start to finish cause you know you did every step, i just hope i can be able to replicate this for our later projects.
